13-story, 360,000-sf office building with 6-level structured parking garage.

Description

WDG Architecture designed the 400,000-sf, 6-level, structured parking garage for 900 vehicles in addition to the 300,000-sf office building. The Corporate Office Centre at Tysons II, the third phase of a complex which will include three additional office buildings and the existing Ritz-Carlton hotel. The office building is comprised of 300,000 square feet of rentable office space with six levels of parking to accommodate 900 vehicles. Located adjacent to Tysons II Galleria, its proximity to the shopping center allows for easy accessibility.

The design incorporated features that were sympathetic and compatible to the older, existing palette of the surrounding buildings. The exterior skin is a varying fabric composed of precast and curtain wall, with decorative spandrel panels finished to gain a metal-like appearance. Aluminum panel cladding is formed to articulate the cornice elements high above, as well as the canopy element, which expresses the location of entry at the base of the building. A landscaped drive defines the approach to the building.
