Renovation of a 10-story, 300,000-sf office building in order to meet the needs of expanding government tenants.

Description

Under the newly formed Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), this 10-story, 300,000-sf facility received planning and design services from WDG for a lobby study. The study included space plan review, building evaluation, detailed interior design and construction documents, bid, and construction administration services.

The importance and urgency of the newly formed TARP organization required that the office area be operational in as short a time frame as possible. It also required maneuvering and phasing, since this tenant had early access on some of the floors. WDG assisted GSA and the building owner in completing design and construction documents in several weeks, improving upon the GSA solicitation for construction schedule.
