WDG has announced Emmett Ahearn has joined the firm's Washington, DC office as Director of Government and Institutional Practice. As part of the leadership team, he will be responsible for leading the firm's federal planning, architecture, and interiors practice. "We know Emmett can cultivate new industry partnerships and expand collaborations that symbolize strategic vision and growth of this firm. WDG has the expertise, innovation and portfolio and now have a leader to expand this practice. Emmett's design leadership focuses on government services in new construction, alternative delivery or complex workplace modernizations" said Sean Stadler, Managing Principal.

Ahearn is an industry leader who has dedicated his career to helping government and institutional clients better serve the public through the delivery of best-in-class workplaces using innovative solutions. His specialized skills from over 30 years of experience include GSA, DoD and a long list of Federal agencies to state and local municipalities. His portfolio includes over 200 complex projects totaling over 26 million square feet.

WDG Architecture has an exceptional portfolio of government and institutional buildings including headquarters for the US Coast Guard, National Science Foundation, and Fannie Mae.
