
Mr. Cho is an Associate Principal with WDG and brings over two decades of industry knowledge and experience across many commercial development sectors. He leads the design team on numerous complex and award-winning architecture and urban design projects for the firm. He is responsible for establishing a vision and executing the projects’ design goal that includes many of the firm’s multifamily residential, hospitality, and mixed-use commercial projects in transit-oriented, complex urban infill settings.
Mr. Cho implements design strategies that are finely tuned to context and uses, and creates narrative and expression from analysis of site, program, massing, and zoning parameters to achieve both visionary and practical solutions. His insight into complex issues with development expertise knits projects into the local fabric and produces high-quality architecture, creating a sense of place rooted in context.
Sungjin’s understanding of regulatory parameters and involvement in the public realm have helped various stages of projects successfully navigate regulatory approval process. He is an advocate for innovative design that is sustainable and timeless and fosters a design process that strives to achieve design excellence.
Mr. Cho holds Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute in New York. He is currently serving as a Board of Architectural Review for the City of Fairfax, Virginia: a regulatory body that reviews and approves design of city-wide architectural and landscape projects.
