Description

Arris at The Yards is a key piece of the city’s 30-year effort to rebuild the Anacostia Waterfront. Nestled by the riverfront to the south, Nationals Park to the west, the historic Washington Navy Yard to the east, and all of downtown and Capitol Hill to the north, the Yards will include 5.5 million square feet of retail, housing, office and civic uses on 42-acres of the former Southeast Federal Center site along the Anacostia River. Served by Metrorail’s green line, the community offers Washingtonians an eclectic and authentic urban waterfront neighborhood, transforming the increasingly vibrant Capitol Riverfront district of Washington DC.

Situated on the corner of Tingey St SE and 4th Street SE, the 346,947-sf apartment will contain 327 luxury apartments and include a full amenities package; 19,452-sf of ground-level retail, and three levels of below-grade parking for 251 cars. The retail will create an active streetscape while two private courtyards will face a mid-block pedestrian mews to the west. The building’s five-story base, red brick with metal detailing, takes cues from repurposed neighboring industrial buildings. The glass curtainwall façades are angled to capture views to the Anacostia River, riverfront park and the Nationals baseball park. Amenities for residents will include naturally-lit lounges, and a rooftop terrace and pool.
