Each year, WDG participates in the Washington Architectural Foundation sponsored CANstruction food drive and design competition – all donations and proceeds benefit the Capital Area Food Bank. November 22nd kicked off the event with the construction of 24 transportation-themed structures made solely out of cans.

NAIOP NoVA hosted their annual Focus on Excellence - Best of Northern Virginia Awards Gala on Thursday, November 19th. 2001 Clarendon, a 227,000-sf, 7-story 154-unit mixed-use residential apartment building in Arlington, Virginia, was honored with a Merit Award. The US Coast Guard Headquarters building in Washington, DC received a Distinguished Building Award by AIA Chicago. This is DC’s largest public works project since the Pentagon was constructed 72 years ago.
